Psychedelic Flower-power Shoot 'Em Up

Mind you, this title is taken from the read-me for the little gem I came across recently by the name of Blumenmacht - I Remember Your Name! That this game piqued my interest may indeed be a testament to the fact I spent many a year living in San Francisco's Haight-Ashbury district, as it brought back rather fond memories of those days. Nevertheless, I found this game to be a real feast!

Blumenmacht comes equipped with a short tutorial and making the attempt to explain the mechanics of the game is pointless unless of course you have the game in front of you. Here is a brief description as is found in the game's Read Me. Enchanting ballerinas use their magic hands to throw mystic flowers at each other - until they all dissolve in eternal happiness. It is your ambiguous destiny to bring their bodily existence to an euphoric end and remain as the only life in a hesitating universe.

You, the Prima Ballerina, are a trickster: Make use of various tricks to accomplish your mission. Remember another ballerina's exotic name to hijack her body and enlighten her! Freeze and rewind time! Let the muses sing for you! Finally, use the unique Muenchhausen Express! Your only ally is a grinning cat that allows you to guide growing flowers to their thankful destination and to move or throw objects around.

In the mood for something different? Go light-up a stick of Nag Champa and give Blumenmacht a try!

Peace.
